Rare race cars driven by Formula One veterans Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello to be on display at the Austin Auto Show.
If you were able to watch the most recent F1 race near Barcelona, Spain, you would have seen the Williams team (driver Pastor Maldonado) capture first place and the Ferrari team (Fernando Alonso) take second. This weekend in Austin, you can take a closer look at other F1 cars raced by these very same teams.
There will be two Formula 1 cars on display at the Austin Convention Center during the Austin Auto Show. A Ferrari F2001, which was driven to multiple victories by F1 legend Michael Schumacher, will be at the Ferrari of Austin space.
The Circuit of the Americas will showcase the Williams FW33, driven by veteran Rubens Barrichello just last year. The car has been updated to reflect the 2012 F1 season’s paint scheme. CoTA representatives will be on hand to talk to the public about the circuit and answer questions about PSLs.
Though you won’t be able to jump in either car, you’ll have the rare chance to see the high-tech modifications between different model years. Be sure to get your photo taken near these two multimillion dollar vehicles whose teams have reached the pinnacle of motorsport.
The Austin Auto Show is May 18-20 at the Austin Convention Center. Tickets are $5 pre-sale and $7 at the door.
